CULTURE:📍 How We Social, Opinions You Didn’t Ask For. And Where You Go To Feel Offline.
Culture, creativity, and some important questions you didn’t see coming...
Culture Pilot is putting ourselves out there while still keeping up with the latest news disasters, but first things first…
SERIOUS
QUESTIONS
YOU SAID IT
Last issue we asked: Where do you go when you want to feel offline?
You said:
“The mountains, at least once a year I try to plan a getaway to somewhere where signal is sparse, and the views are epic.”
Also...
“Running outside. Not to just feel offline, but because I need to due to races I've signed up for!”
“Camping. And a location near and dear to me: Glenwood Cemetery.”
And of course...
“Cleaning. Fixing. Doing things with hands. And walking for long enough to lose yourself in thoughts.”
Solid reminders, everybody.

What’s one popular tech item you wish you could Ctrl+Alt+Delete from society?
Keeping with the theme of disconnection… be honest with yourself. Do you think the world would be better off without smartphones? GASP
What about… dare we say it? Television?!
Maybe that’s a bridge too far.
Think about it, though: if you had the power to set us back some tech, what would you eliminate from our current day-to-day?
The daydream continues.
SOMETHING REAL
For a long time, we Culture Pilots have used social media platforms in various ways to experiment, share articles, and follow what’s what in design, marketing, and current events. But lately we’ve started bringing it back home again.
We all get enough news and information coming from every angle. What we could really use now is more human connection. We need to make sure our robots don’t take over our Culture. Entirely. So we’re showing off our true selves. Even Geoff, who is still not a cat IRL.
Did you know it’s been Culture Pilot tradition for over 20 years to meet at the beginning of each week, catch up on the weekend news, and review the workweek ahead?
And sometimes we have to consider these very important internal debates.
We also tackle tough questions about the future like “princess powers of attraction VS. turning gourds into vehicles.” We’ve reviewed questionable vintage marketing ads, and debated the legitimacy of clickbait AI listicles too.
We work hard to answer the tough questions.
Now the question is: What do we answer next?
Reply back and let us know. Maybe you’ll be responsible for the next Culture Pilot forum, and maybe we can finally live out our dreams of going viral.
