CULTURE:📍Starting vs Finishing, and How To Draw A Dinosaur In 45 Seconds

Culture, creativity, and some important questions you didn’t see coming...

Future-you probably has all the answers. Present-you just has…

SERIOUS
QUESTIONS

YOU SAID IT

Last issue we asked: What’s harder for you: Starting or Finishing?

You said:

“Finishing. My number 1 trick is having a deadline.”

Our favorite method since college. Also…

“Starting is easier, and I live for the part in the middle where I just feel productive. Then I end up with 47 open google docs.”

We’re scared to ask how many other open tabs you have. And…

“I’m bad at both and I think the number one way to combat either is to break down projects and milestones into smaller steps. People understand this concept, but hardly anyone seems to actually practice it in reality.”

Guilty. We try to live by this one at Culture Pilot, starting with the GTD method. Sometimes taking the time to break it down can be a test of patience, but one that really pays off if you stick to it.

FUTURE YOU HACKS

Ever do something unnecessary for yourself today that makes life better tomorrow?

Meal prep, blocking out time on your calendar, leaving notes for yourself… Doing unnecessary things today that make tomorrow better, easier, or less stressful can be pretty darn rewarding.

In business. At home. In life.

What’s one habit you do now that makes “future you” grateful?

SOMETHING CRAFTY

RAWWR!

Sometimes, we just need to relax for 45 seconds and forget all about AI.

All hail future you.
